Pros and Cons of Homework!

Homework you would think is the last thing you have on your mind. A lot of kids don’t enjoy spending their time after school working on homework. On the other hand some kids enjoy doing homework. Homework has been proven to help kids in ways, but it has also been proven that it doesn’t help kids in any way.

There are many pros to having homework. Like for example one pro is kids who do homework tend to do about 69% better than kids who don’t do homework. Another example is when kids do homework it shows what they need to work on, and what they learn in school. Kids who do their homework have a better chance of getting into college, and be able to do their dream job! Doing homework can help kids on tests, quizzes, ect. Kids who do homework tend to get an average of 31-90% on tests. Homework can be helpful in many ways, especially with tests.

There may be a lot of pros, but we can’t forget about the cons of having homework! To kick off the cons some kids don’t have the materials or the time to complete the homework. It has also been proven before that some kids who do homework do worse on the tests than kids who don’t do their homework. Depending on what grade a kid is in a lot of their after school time and being able to play gets cut off because they need to finish their homework. Most students tend to get stressed when they’re doing their homework because it’s hard or some students already have trouble doing their work in school.  There are many more cons to having homework, but sometimes in the end it’s better if you don’t have homework.

As you can see there are many benefits, and non benefits to having homework. Kids around the world every day are getting homework. Even adults can get homework! Most kids don’t like doing homework, but if you think about it in the end one day it may be helpful for them. In other ways it’s better to not have homework. Homework has all kinds of different meanings, and a lot of kids see homework in a different way. But in the end it is what it is, and we will just have to live with homework for now.

  2. Good job! You did a great topic paragraph, I like how you said homework has been proven to be good but also has been proven to be bad. It really shows how there are two sides.

  3. your blog is very interesting and you put up a great argument for both sides. But, you are repeating a little bit for the pros.

  4. I liked the detail and and your pros and cons but, I would of spaced the paragraphs out by one line like how you did with the first paragraph.
